♥I think that this blog project is really cool. I really like this because we get to meet people from a different part of the world. Also I like this because we get to learn about the different culture and what they have going on in their country. I basically like everything about this blog. I think that all the questions are pretty good and they give the other kids a chance to learn more about current events going in on in our country. I don't really think that there is a way to make this blogging any better because we get to answer very good questions and we even get to write our own blogs!!!♥

♥Diversity♥

♥Our country is very diverse in many different ways.Many people come from all over the country come for a better life. People come for a better job and so that their kids can have a better education then what they had in their country. Also their since their are many ethnicities then there is also many religions. With many religions it makes many kinds of churches. There is also many kinds of restaurants that serve differents kinds of foods. There are differents kinds of stores that sells many kinds of foods. When people come here they also bring differnet kinds of music so we learn new cultures♥

♥Favorite Place♥

♥My favorite place in the country is the place that I was born in which is Austin, Texas. One of the main reasons that my favorite place is Austin is because it's the first place that my eyes saw when I was first born.Also because a lot of my family was born here. I also think that it's the greatest place because there are so many great people here and I am so accustomed to this place. There is also so much diversity in this small little city. Austin is also the capital of Texas. Even the people that live here in Austin is so much more different than other people in the country,because of all these differences I love Austin!!!♥

♥Terrorist Attacks♥

♥There are many terrorist attacks all over the world. One of the most resent attacks that we've had was the attack on September 11, 2001.An airplane went straight towards the twin towers in New York City, NY .This attack killed many innocent people that were in the building, it even killed people in the train station underneath and near the building.Ever since this attack occurred our country has been specially over protected of our security. At the airport they have metal detectors and they check your bags to make sure that you have no weapons of any sort,either bombs,guns, or anything like that.They even secure the borders to make sure no one tries to sneek in any weapons that could hurt our country.Our country tries thier best to prevent terrorist attacks but anything could happen,let's just hope the best.♥

♥My School♥

♥Hey everybody!!!Okay, so I go to Anderson High School and our schools mascot are the Trojans!!!GO TROJANS!!!Our school colors are royal blue,and gold. I really enjoy going to Anderson and I would not change schools for anything.
Going to school is a lot of fun you either go walking,on the school bus, the capitol metro bus, or your parents get to drop you off. Once you get on campus all the fun starts.
The teachers there are pretty cool and some even funny.Our classes are also very interesting.There are the for classes we have to take which are science,math,English,and history but you also get to choose elective classes which are classes that you might want to take for fun.The kind of electives that you can take are dance,P.E.,choir,band,orchestra,a foreign language, and many other classes.
At our school lunch counts as one of our periods and lunch at our school is pretty fun.There is Chinese food, hamburgers,sandwiches,Italian food, and everything there is so yummy. Lunch is also a time that you get to spend with your friends and act goofy for a while.
There are also many clubs that you can join before or after school.There are sports such as football,basketball,tennis,cross country,volleyball, and even being a bell or cheerleader.There is also a club called the green club which is a club where you do stuff for your community,which is pretty fun.
One of my favorite events at our school are the pep rally.You get to see the belles dance and the cheerleaders, sometimes even the football player join in.You can also go to the football games which are a lot of fun and you get to scream and shout and show spirit for us the TROJANS!!!
Well that's pretty much how Anderson is fun and exciting.The people there awesome and cool and you never get bored there,I really love ANDERSON!!!♥

♥ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS♥

♥So many of us have heard or illegal immigrants,but do we know who they are?Why they came to the United States?No?Well many illegal immigrants come from all over the world. Hispanic people,Asians, African Americans, and many more.All of these people come here for one reason, and one reason only...to have a better life.They come here because the country that they came from don't give them great opportunities that are given here in the United States.Their country doesn't have enough money, or job,education, and even health care.Everyone that comes here thinks that things will be a whole lot more different for them.Most adults come so that their children can have a good education so that in their future they can be important people.I think that all immigrants should be given a chance.
Our country deals with immigrants by controlling the border that separates the United States with Mexico because most of the people that come here are from Mexico.They put guards with guns to make sure that no one passes to the United States.The guards also sometimes leave the border and go look for immigrants in places where they think they are at.When they do find them they put them in jail and deport them back to their country.Our country also does not allow immigrant students to go college,which in my opinion is not right, but they are thinking of making the Dream Act, which will allow them to continue with their studies.Our country is also thinking of giving papers to the immigrants that have lived here for a long time and have a good record, and that would be a great thing.♥

♥MY SUMMER♥

♥My summer of 2008 was pretty good.At the beginning of the summer it was pretty boring, just sitting at home watching TV and eating, which is why I got a little chubbier.I also took care of my little brother while everyone went to work, and I had a lot of fun messing with him and playing video games.Then I went to Anderson for a week, to get to know about the school a little better, and that was when I got to see a lot of my friends. Then I had to go to this summer program and it was a lot of fun.We got to play games, go on field trips and do a lot of interesting things.I even got up on stage and sang a song called "Perdoname" which means "forgive me". I was so nervous but I had my friend Alexia by my side. One field trip I went to is to a university then we went to a aquarium and it was a lot of fun.I also went to this place where we got up on ropes and where very high up in the air,I was so scared,I taught I was gonna fall.On one of the weekends I got to go to Schlitterbahn with my family, a very fun water park.I got on almost all the scary rides with my mom,and I even saw one of my cheerleading coches over there.Then after all that excitement everything got calm and I was just waiting for high school to start. Preparing myself by getting school supplies and getting new clothes.Well basically that was my whole summer,fun and exciting.♥

♥About Me♥

♥Hi my name is Marilyn and I go to Anderson High School. I am a nineth grader there and so far I really enjoy Anderson. At school I am in the dancing class and I was thinking of joining the green club. I love dancing and I also enjoy playing video games with my little brother.I have two brothers, one is Israel and he is 22 years old and the other is Andrew and he is 5 years old.I also have a dog, he is a pitbull and his name is Chico.My family comes from Ecuador in South America and I think that their culture is very interesting.I love spending time with my family and my friends.I also love going to playland which is this place where you get to skate and dance at the same time,it is so cool.I love ice cream,specially coffee flavored ice cream,I think I might be a little too obssesed with coffee:).I really enjoy making new friends specially if their from a different part of the world,and I hope that we all get to know each other very well.♥
